8 Home Remedies to Get Rid of Circles Under the Eyes

If you’re ever had dark circles under your eyes, you already know how difficult they are to get rid of. Facial masks rarely work, and the commercial lotions you can find on the market are pretty harsh on the skin and do nothing to the circles as well. Luckily, there are many natural remedies that can help and we’re going to present you the best.

Dark circles under the eyes are a common skin problem for millions of people around the world and are caused by either fatigue, contact dermatitis, pigmentation problems, excessive sun exposure, allergies, genetics or other problems.

Here are 8 simple natural remedies that can easily get rid of them:

Rosewater

Ingredients
  • A glass of hot water
  • A handful of rose petals
Preparation

Boil a glass of water and leave it to cool down until it’s warm, then add the petals in and leave them until the water is cold. Strain the mixture in the end, and collect the liquid in a bottle. Apply it on your face by rubbing a cotton pad soaked in the liquid every night before going to bed, then leave it to work for 20 minutes before rinsing with water.

Lemon juice

Soak a cotton ball in lemon juice and slowly rub it around your eyes, then leave it to work for 15 minutes. Wash off with water in the end and repeat the process every day until you see positive results.

Almond oil

Rub a few drops of almond oil around your eyes and massage the area slowly, then leave it to work for 30 minutes before rinsing with water. Regular use of almond oil on the affected areas should get rid of the dark circles under your eyes.

Potato juice

Grate a potato and collect the juice, then soak a few cotton pads in it and rub the affected area. Leave the juice to work for no more than 20 minutes, then rinse with water in the end.

Tea

Tea is rich in antioxidants, tannins and caffeine which can do wonders against the dark circles under your eyes. Green tea is best for this purpose – just brew a cup, then use the tea bags on the affected area. Leave them to work for 15 minutes and repeat the process every day for best results.

Tomato juice

Apply some tomato juice under your eyes and leave it to work for 10 minutes, then wash it off with cold water. Repeat the process every day for a few weeks and the dark circles should already be gone.

Coconut oil

Put a bit of coconut oil on a cotton ball and rub the area around your eyes, then massage it in and leave it to work for a few hours. Rinse with lukewarm water in the end and the dark circles should be gone soon by using the oil regularly.
